The Vols were one of the first major programs to offer George in the spring of 2015, giving receiver-needy Tennessee an early leg up in his recruitment. After an unofficial visit to Knoxville in late-May, George announced the Vols as his leader and then officially committed to Tennessee on June 6th. He stayed true to his commitment and signed with the Vols on Dec. 16. George, who will be a redshirt junior in 2016, finished his junior college season with 49 catches for 685 yards and five touchdowns.

How He Fits
George is one of the more intriguing prospects in this recruiting cycle. He has rare size – in the 6-5 to 6-6 range – and exceptional athleticism and hands to go with it. He’s not the most polished receiver, and perhaps that’s why he hasn’t blown up in recruiting yet, but he has traits that simply can’t be taught.
He had 46 catches for 690 yards and four touchdowns as a freshman at Dodge City and is looking to build on that. The December graduate is a nice addition for the Vols in 2016 as they look to add some depth to the position.
