After a pair of Vol commitments – TaDarryl Marshall and Chidi Okonya – decommitted from Tennessee last Sunday, a third followed suit this Sunday. Defensive tackle D’Andre Christmas-Giles announced via Twitter that he is opening up his recruitment.

Christmas-Giles has blown up on the recruiting trail after the Vols landed him as a two-star prospect in August. Since that point, several huge programs including Nebraska, Texas, Ole Miss, TCU, Miami and Texas A&M have offered him, and most recently an offer from LSU might’ve played a big role in his decision.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball now points to the Tigers as the favorites for the emerging prospect as defensive tackle, who was recently bumped to a four-star and top-100 player by Rivals.com.

The Vols now have 15 commitments in the 2016 class and just one true defensive lineman at this point in junior college DT Alexis Johnson.
