Jordan Smith: The de-commitment of Chidi Okonya leaves the Vols without any high school edge rushers in this class, and, perhaps not so coincidentally, Smith, a three-star defensive end from Lithonia, Ga., has emerged as a top target for the Vols. Loaded up with offers from many of the top programs in the nation, Smith is a rangy rush end that would give the Vols even more of a presence off the edge. He certainly has the frame to grow into a dominant force if he can put the right kind of weight on while keeping his athleticism.

After de-committing from South Carolina recently in the middle of coaching transition there, Florida and Tennessee appear to be the teams to beat for the 6-foot-6, 217-pounder who plans to enroll early. ** Update ** Committed to Florida Sunday afternoon
