Nigel Knott: File this one under “long shot.” Nonetheless, the Volunteers would love to have him.
Similar to Hardman, Knott is a five-star recruit who has been one of the best cornerbacks the 2016 class has to offer. As a junior, Knott racked up a whopping 112 tackles and has a total of eight career interceptions. His athleticism makes him good enough to play multiple positions, but he is arguably the best lock-down cornerback in the country at the high school level.
Knott boasts 28 scholarship offers including Oregon, Florida State, and Alabama with the Tide being the current favorite. Regardless, I’m willing to bet Butch Jones has Knott on his Christmas wish list and would do whatever it took to make Knott a Volunteer.
