It’s been a busy week for the Tennessee Volunteers. While the players prepare for final exams, coaches have been scouting potential bowl opponents and visiting recruits.
One such visit was given to 2016 Vols QB commit Jarrett Guarantano when offensive coordinator Mike DeBord traveled to New Jersey to check in on his future quarterback.
During the visit the two took this picture in Times Square, the same spot where Guarantano gave his verbal commitment to Tennessee via video with the help of Bleacher Report.

Barring something drastic happening (like Butch Jones leaving Tennessee), Guarantano is about as solid as they come for verbal commits. His Twitter account, and even his mother’s, are both filled with nonstop love for the big orange.
As the number one rated dual-threat quarterback in the country according to 247sports.com, Guarantano will surely compete with Quinten Dormady for the backup quarterback position. However Guarantano has expressed he is fine with taking a redshirt his freshman year if necessary.
