First Distillery in Downtown Knoxville Opens with Four Locally Produced Spirits
December 2015 (Knoxville, Tennessee) – Knox Whiskey Works, downtown Knoxville’s first distillery of the modern era, is pleased to announce it is hosting a Grand Opening December First Friday Reception. The small batch, craft distillery located at 516 W. Jackson Ave in Downtown Knoxville began producing the first Knoxville made spirits in November. “We are very excited to announce our tasting room is officially opening to the public First Friday, December 4” said Knox Whiskey Works manager Stanton Webster.
Knox Whiskey Works tasting room will be open at noon, Friday, December 4 for tastings as well as retail merchandise and bottle purchases. Guided tours of the production side of the distillery will begin at 5pm, Friday, December 4 with subsequent tours starting at the top of each hour. Please visit the Knox Whiskey Works website: knoxwhiskeyworks.com to make reservations for a guided tour as the space is limited and will fill up quickly. The distillery opens with four locally produced spirits: Old City Heirloom Corn Whiskey, Jackson Avenue Gin, Tennessee Valley Vodka and Cold City Old Brew Coffee Liqueur. “We want to welcome Knoxville and everyone coming Downtown Friday for the Christmas Parade and other First Friday Events to our distillery,” said Knox Whiskey Works manager Cindy Nichols.
