Coaching
Tennessee got the job done down the stretch of the season and put an exclamation mark on a five-game winning streak against Vanderbilt on Saturday night. The defense was a bit sloppy early, but the Vols appeared to make some adjustments that solidified it and didn’t panic when the Commodores made a push back in the second quarter. The gameplan coming in was very strong overall and, as has not always been the case in 2015, the coaching staff did a great job of rallying the team and counter-punching when things didn’t look as great. The stretch from the middle of the second quarter into the early fourth was about as solid of football as the Vols have played since Butch Jones has been in Knoxville. Again, it’s a results-oriented business, and UT got the job done in a big way.
