Running Backs
The Vols continue to show that they have one of the better running back duos in the country. Jalen Hurd started a bit slow, but broke out with a a 48-yard run to help get to 120 yards on the night. He continues to move up on UT’s single-season and career rushing total lists. Alvin Kamara was a perfect compliment on Saturday night, using his speed to get to the outside with regularity on his way to 99 yards on 16 carries. The backs also combined for six catches for 87 yards – which was about as much production in the passing game as the receivers had. Even Joe Young got in on the action late, scoring on an 8-yard touchdown run. Another elite performance by this group.
