The East Tennessee native paid his dues – seeing limited action for three years before earning a starting job in 2014 after the Vols rebuilt their offensive line. He lost that full-time starting job in 2015 to Coleman Thomas at center, but has been a regularly-used reserve at guard, helping the Vols put up huge numbers on the ground in 2015. His 40 career game appearances makes him one of the more experienced seniors on the roster.
