Vanderbilt at Tennessee (-17.5), Saturday, 4:00 pm ET, SEC Network
Kevin: Not much doubt for me that Tennessee wins this game, but 17.5 is too many points for me here. I imagine the game will play out pretty similarly to the Mizzou game, with Vandy having even more motivation to play than the Tigers did last week. The Vols win by 7-10, but take Vanderbilt +17.5.
John: I’m concerned about the Volunteer offense as it pertains to finishing drives against good defenses. Inside the 20, UT got tight last week. Some say it’s conservative play calling, while other think Butch might be masking deficiencies. For UT to cover, the Volunteer defense will have to be near perfect, which it has been of late. I think getting 8 Ws means enough to this team to have them beyond fired up. And I also hang the hat of my pick on the play of the Volunteer o-line last week. They duplicate that again and let Hurd run wild as he did last week and the Vols will get the statement win they’re looking for. Call me a sheep, but I like UT in this one. Tennessee -17.5.
