Overall
We always say this in the report card: it’s a results-oriented business. And though the schedule has turned in UT’s favor down the stretch and the product hasn’t always been great to watch, Tennessee continues to win football games. This one in particular was a nice workmanlike victory – going on the road against a good defense in an emotionally-charged game and beating a program that the Vols have failed to knock off since it moved to the SEC. That can’t be overlooked. Tennessee must continue to put the pedal to the floor for four quarters and improve some things offensively, but that was a solid win and UT continues to show tangible improvement as a program despite the early-season frustrations.
