Defensive Line
Missouri quarterback Drew Lock was never completely comfortable in the pocket. Kahlil McKenzie and Corey Vereen each picked up a sack and the Vols got after the quarterback pretty well for much of the evening. Derek Barnett was disruptive with five tackles. Owen Williams added a quarterback hurry. And when Missouri did make some big plays to get in scoring range, the defense was extremely stout – stopping the Tigers three times from the 1-yard line before they finally managed to just barely cross the goal line.
