Defensive Line
Nothing too spectacular to report here, though like the rest of the defense, the line kept North Texas from ever forming any kind of substantial offensive threat on the afternoon. Derek Barnett continues to pile up sacks with six in his last five games now after he recorded one on Saturday. Corey Vereen took the quarterback down in the backfield as well one time, but later had that sack erased when it was ruled that it was a running attempt for the quarterback. Still, he’s emerged as a very solid option opposite of Barnett with Curt Maggitt out.
