Linebackers
It was a satisfactory performance from the linebackers, who helped keep everything in front of the Vols’ defense for much of the afternoon and did a decent job limiting opportunities for North Texas. Darrin Kirkland Jr. continues to shine – leading the Vols with eight tackles and continuing to show that he could be the inside linebacker for several years to come for UT. Jalen Reeves-Maybin didn’t make any huge plays, but added seven stops, while a few backups got some reps as well. Not a bad day, overall, for this group.
