Rick Barnes landed his third commitment in the 2016 class on Friday morning when he added three-star forward John Fulkerson (6-8, 190) from Arden, N.C.
After careful consideration and prayer, I have decided to commit to The University of Tennessee. #GoVols pic.twitter.com/hV80anExmi

Fulkerson chose the Vols over an offer list of 20 Division I schools including Georgia, Clemson, Charlotte and others.
Fulkerson tied a single-season school record with 93 blocks last season for the Carolinas AAA champion regular-season and tournament champions the Christ School (N.C.). He led his team in scoring (10 ppg) and rebounding (6.1 rpg.), according to the Asheville Citizen-Times. A native of Kingsport, Tenn., last season was the first year that Fulkerson played at the Christ School, which is located south of Asheville, N.C.
Tennessee now has three commitments in its 2016 class: Fulkerson, three-star guard Jordan Bone of Nashville, Tenn., and Jalen Johnson of High Point, N.C.
The Vols will have at least five scholarships available in the 2016 class with four senior scholarship players currently on the roster and one spot held over from the 2015 class.
