Duke at No. 21 North Carolina (-7.5), Saturday, 12 pm ET, ESPN2

Kevin: Two teams infamously separated by a few miles of interstate in the middle of Tobacco Road who have given us some of the most memorable basketball games in history. The football rivalry is a bit lackluster (UNC has won 17 of the past 20) but this year there are some real stakes, as the Coastal division is still up for grabs. Duke has to mentally overcome a devastating and undeserved loss, and UNC simply has to avoid choking. I think UNC wins, but narrowly. I’ll take Duke +7.5.

John: Dude, I don’t know. And more importantly, I don’t care. This is watered down football pretending to be big time. However, I have a pick, and I base it on the fact that (a) the Blue Devils got screwed by the refs last week and (b) this is a rivalry game. Put another way, two teams that hate each other that should have just one loss apiece. So the dog gets the nod. Take the Blue Devils +7.5

(Editor’s note: We slip a non-SEC game in here and there when there aren’t enough compelling matchups in the SEC)
