With Trevor Daniel taking the punting job and running with it, there’s been no need to use the highly-touted freshman Townsend at punter to this point in the season. He’ll likely get a redshirt year and will be able to compete with Daniel again next year, though it will be tough to take the job away from him with the way he’s punting right now.
