Receivers/Tight Ends
For the first time in a long time the Vols had a receiver hit the 100-yard mark when sophomore Josh Malone caught a 75-yard touchdown bomb with five minutes to go in the first half. But outside of that play, there weren’t many other eye-popping moments. At the same time, several catches came on critical third downs to keep drives alive. In another position group that has battled injuries all season, this performance could have been much worse. Considering several passes were a little on the high side, and there was a considerable lack of depth, the receivers had a solid day.
