10. Appalachian State
This is a toss-up between App. St and Ohio, but I went with the Mountaineers because they sit at 7-1 in the Sun Belt at this point and they’re the poster boys for upsets after what they did to Michigan (and then-offensive coordinator Mike DeBord) in 2007. Sophomore quarterback Taylor Lamb is putting up some good numbers this year and, though they’re scheduled to lose a lot of production at receiver, most of the defense, which is currently the best in the Sun Belt, is also scheduled to return. Tennessee should be able to take care of business in this one, but everybody knows what this program is capable of.
