2. Florida
The Vols have battled the streak/the curse or whatever you want to call it for awhile now, but it also looks like UT will be battling a really good overall football team for years to come if Jim McElwain’s first year in Gainesville is a good indicator. The Gators could be without quarterback Will Grier, who led the come-from-behind victory over the Vols in Gainesville this year, as he currently is suspended for a full calendar year (appeal pending) for testing positive for PEDs in early October, but the early returns from replacement Treon Harris have been promising. The Gators, a team that has been surprisingly good on offense this year, should be even better on that side of the ball in 2016, but they will deal with a few key personnel losses on the defensive side of the ball. Still, there will be a plenty of talent on that roster and until UT ends the streak, it’s tough to feel good about its chances against Florida in any scenario.
