8. Kentucky
My assessment of this game could easily change as soon as Saturday when the Vols get a chance to see how they match up with the Wildcats head-to-head in 2015. But going off of history and the general makeup of these two programs right now, the Vols should be in good shape for this home matchup against Kentucky in 2016. Even in some of the darkest times for the program recently, the Vols have won their last four home games over UK by an average of 20.5 points per game. The Vols haven’t lost at all to UK in Neyland Stadium since 1984. Mark Stoops is making UK more competitive and some key offensive players such as QB Patrick Towles, RB Boom Williams and WR Garrett Johnson should be back as well. The Wildcats can make a statement on Saturday, but for now, they’re at No. 8 for next year.
