Running Backs
Jalen Hurd ran for 92 of the hardest yards of the season. He didn’t have any negative rushing plays and picked up several key first downs for the Vols on his 18 carries. An average of 5.1 yards per carry against that Alabama defense is nothing to be ashamed of. Alvin Kamara gave the Vols a nice spark as well, adding nine touches for 65 yards against his former team. It was one of the better rushing performances of the season against the SEC’s top-ranked rushing defense, and the effort of Hurd and Kamara, with help from Dobbs, made that possible.
