The 10 Things the Vols Must Do to Beat Bama

6. Pressure Coker

Kirkland-1

Asking a Tennessee pass rush that only has nine sacks on the season to beat one of the best offensive lines in the conference is a tall order.

The Vols are barely on pace to record half as many sacks as they did in 2014 (35). And guys like Alabama tackle Cam Robinson don’t get beat often.

Nonetheless, Alabama quarterback Jacob Coker has thrown six interceptions this season. And while racking up multiple sacks might be tough, strong blitz packages could pressure Coker into making bad decisions or throws.

The Vols need to make Coker prove he can beat them with his arm. Blitz early and often to put the pressure on him and Tennessee will have a shot at getting an interception or two.
