This might be the best advantage the Vols have over the Tide.
Alabama has yet to face a true dual-threat quarterback this season, and having a scrambling QB has proven to be a valuable weapon against Kirby Smart’s defense. In recent years, a few quarterbacks who have had success against the Tide include Dak Prescott, Johnny Manziel and Nick Marshall – all scrambling QBs.
And last season, Dobbs’ success running the ball is one of the main reasons the Vols rallied from a 27-0 deficit to make the game competitive.
For the Vols to win this game, Joshua Dobbs needs to keep Alabama’s offense on its heels running the ball.
