The 10 Things the Vols Must Do to Beat Bama

9. Zero Turnovers on Offense

Ellis-1

Alabama ranks first in the conference in interceptions with 12, and leads the nation with four interceptions returned for a touchdown. On top of that, its defense has recovered four fumbles.

Luckily for the Vols, Joshua Dobbs only has two interceptions on 169 attempts, and as a whole the team has lost just three fumbles.

This Alabama defense is extremely good at taking the ball away and every turnover the Vols give up makes it that much harder to pull out the upset in Tuscaloosa.

To be on the safe side, Tennessee needs to do more than just win the turnover battle. The Vols can’t allow any whatsoever.
