While it doesn’t look like Peyton Manning will be finishing his career in the NFL as a fullback, the veteran Broncos quarterback and Tennessee alum did throw something resembling a pancake block in Denver’s win over Cleveland on Sunday:
Sure, Peyton Manning threw a few picks today.
But he also served PANCAKES to Donte Whitner.
This happened. #DENsCLE http://t.co/Wat1Hy1oUn— NFL (@NFL) October 18, 2015
Browns DB Donte Whitner came across the field in pursuit of the ball and Manning at least got in his way enough that he ran into him, forcing Whitner to the deck for the pancake. Manning’s numbers have been on a fairly sharp decline this year, but the Broncos continue to roll, knocking off Cleveland 26-23 on Sunday to continue their perfect 6-0 start, despite three interceptions thrown by Manning.
Manning has completed 120-of-189 attempts on the season for 1,234 yards, six touchdowns and seven interception. Add a pancake block to that mix officially as well now.
