Jalen Hurd-1-2

 Running Backs

It was a solid, workmanlike effort for the running backs, which combined for 28 carries for 88 yards and eight catches for 46 yards. The yards were tough to come by at times, but Jalen Hurd, in particular had some tough runs to move the chain. It was his 11-yard catch and strong run on a screen pass early in the game that truly demonstrated his value and toughness in this contest. And while Alvin Kamara never really got going on the ground (7 runs, 8 yards), he had two short touchdown receptions that helped the Vols finish off a couple drives. The only glaring mistake was Hurd coughing the ball up inside the 5 on a scoop and 96-yard score for UGA early. Overall, though, Hurd and Kamara helped the Vols win on Saturday.
