Overall
The parts won’t necessarily equal the whole here because the Vols do enter the bye week with some questions and things to work on, but huge credit to Tennessee for finding a way to keep believing even when it looked like this particular game, and the program in general, was heading to a dark place after Georgia built a 24-3 lead in the second quarter. Players stepped up who needed to, Joshua Dobbs looked like the star quarterback many thought he could be this year and even the defense, which struggled for much of the night, found a way to make a play at the end to secure the win. As Neyland’s maxims say, “If at first the game – or the breaks – go against you, don’t let up… put on more steam.”
Tennessee did that and found a way to pull out the historic come-from-behind win.
