Receivers/Tight Ends
The song remained the same for this group against Arkansas. Even against the worst secondary in the league, the Vols failed to put a receiver over the 34-yard mark. Von Pearson led this group with three catches for 31 yards, while Josh Smith hauled in two passes for 34 yards. Josh Malone looked uninterested on multiple plays and failed to even attempt to make a play on a deep ball in the fourth quarter that appeared catchable. Ethan Wolf was targeted one time and hauled in a beauty of a pass for 31 yards up the seam. Injuries are hurting this group, no doubt, but the lack of big plays in the passing game is killing Tennessee’s offense right now. This may be the most disappointing position group of the 2015 season thus far.
