Friday Top 10: Tennessee vs Arkansas Moments

8. Vols Order Extra Mayo

2007 - Tennessee 34 Arkansas 13 (Video 2)

When Tennessee squared off against Arkansas in 2007 it seemed Razorback running back Darren McFadden was a shoe-in for the Heisman Trophy.

Not one to back down from a challenge, Vols senior linebacker Jerod Mayo said before the game, “He’s a great back, but he’s not going to win the Heisman Trophy in Neyland Stadium.” Naturally that added a little drama to the game.

In the end, McFadden had a decent game with 117 yards on 22 carries, but this pick-six by Mayo sealed Tennessee’s 34-14 win over the Hogs while McFadden would finish second in the Heisman voting behind Tim Tebow.
