Oh, how Tennessee’s 1998 season would have been completely different without this play.
#10 Arkansas had a 24-22 lead over #1 Tennessee with just under two minutes to go in the game. But as Clint Stoerner dropped back for a play action pass, he was tripped by one of his own offensive linemen and fumbled the ball, only for the Volunteers to recover.
On the ensuing drive, Travis Henry would score the game-winning touchdown to give Tennessee a 28-24 lead, and seal the Vols destiny as future national champs.
