No. 14 Texas A&M (-7.5) vs Arkansas (at Jerry’s World), Saturday, 7:00 pm ET, ESPN
Kevin: Bret Bielema needs this one BAD, with this team coming off back to back losses against teams they probably should have beat. Texas A&M, on the other hand, is moving ahead at full steam although they’ve only truly been tested against Arizona State. I don’t see A&M struggling, and it will take a serious turnaround from Arkansas to stop the Aggie momentum. Texas A&M -7.5.
John: Stock market advice: never try to time the bottom. Put another way, never try to catch a dagger. Which is why I love A&M on this one because things could get ugly for Arkansas this year. And I feel even better about it because it’s the Colonel’s pick, too. Here’s what he had to say about it:
I love Kyle Allen, the QB at A&M. He had 5 TDs last week in a 44-27 win over Nevada. Four through the air and one on the ground. They have a nice RB, too, in Tra Carson. He ran for 137 yards last week on 22 carries. Arkansas comes into this one reeling. Texas Tech sent them to 1-2 last week with a 35-24 win in Fayetteville. I can’t see Arkansas running on the A&M front seven. Chavis has the Aggie D playing their best ball in years. He has two big ole DEs that get after it and I think they’ll be in the Arkansas backfield all day long. I love Texas A&M to roll up the Hogs here. A&M -7.5 until the cows come home. Or in this case, till the Hogs come home. Back to Fayetteville, 1-3.
