No. 18 Auburn at No. 13 LSU (-7), Saturday, 3:30 pm ET, CBS
Kevin: Auburn barely escaped the powerhouse Jacksonville State team last week, and appears to have some real issues on offense. LSU hasda strong season opener against Mississippi State and doesn’t seem to have lost a step in replacing John Chavis. Auburn’s good feeling after the win over Louisville is gone after the Cardinals lost to Houston in week two. It’s a tough call but I’ll roll with LSU -7.
John: If this were at night, I’d be all over LSU. But as it is, I consider this one a value play, much like my thought behind my South Carolina pick. Auburn looked horrible last week. It conjured up images of Gene Chizik’s OT win over Louisiana Monroe in 2012. Only worse. Jacksonville State? Still, Malzahn is no Chizik and Auburn isn’t as bad as they seemed on Sat. Aub +7.
