For once, the Tennessee Volunteers have a good problem they need to deal with.
Senior safety LaDarrell McNeil has been cleared to play and is expected to do so against Western Carolina. But the man who has filled in during McNeil’s absence has looked pretty good himself.
Todd Kelly Jr. had two interceptions against Oklahoma’s air-raid offense and has been a “model of consistency” according to Butch Jones. At the same time, McNeil has experience you simply can’t teach. The Vols will need to work on getting both players on the field against Western Carolina if they want to keep their secondary fresh.
