Friday Top 10: Things the Vols Can Work on Against Western Carolina

Every Friday of the offseason, a member of the RTI team will post a top-10 list. Many will be directly related to UT athletics, but some will veer off course a bit. Obviously these will all be subjective in nature, a bit ridiculous at times and subject to a lot of opinion and discussion. 

The Tennessee Vols are 1-1 to start the season off after losing a heartbreaker to Oklahoma in double overtime. But with the way some of the fan base and national experts were talking, you’d think they just lost to Southwestern New Hampshire State (If that’s actually a place?).

The truth is, Tennessee hung with a legitimate top-20 program for 60+ minutes. It’s just the manner in which they lost that got everyone’s feathers all ruffled up. Losing a 17-0 lead made a lot of people concerned about Butch Jones’ ability to win the “big games.” And with another big game approaching next week in the swamp, Tennessee needs to use this week’s game against Western Carolina to fine tune a few things. Here’s our list of the 10 most important things Tennessee needs to work on against the Catamounts this Saturday.
