Running Backs
Jalen Hurd found yards when there weren’t any and punished Sooner defenders all night long as he carried 24 times for 106 yards and a touchdown. Alvin Kamara, on the other hand, had five touches for nine yards and looked confused and out of place when he was on the field. This was a game where Vol coaches will likely look back and wonder why they didn’t give Jalen Hurd the ball 30 times, but that isn’t Hurd’s fault. Hurd’s late fumble that took the Vols out of field goal range and Kamara’s disappearing act will lower the grade, but the running backs weren’t the problem last night.
