Quarterbacks
Joshua Dobbs didn’t look like himself on Saturday night. He wasn’t able to escape the pocket – credit Oklahoma for that – and he was largely inaccurate on passes over the middle of the field. Dobbs finished 13-of-31 for 125 yards, a touchdown and the game-ending interception in overtime. In fairness, he didn’t get a lot of help from his teammates or his coaching staff, but Dobbs also failed to make the big, game-changing play that Tennessee fans have grown accustomed to seeing. Teams will now try do replicate Oklahoma’s game plan and force Dobbs to beat them through the air, so he’ll need to rebound quickly.
