Linebackers
Jalen Reeves-Maybin turned in one of the best linebacker performances in the history of Tennessee football on Saturday night with 21 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble, but he didn’t appear to get much help from middle linebacker Colton Jumper. Jumper finished the night with just four tackles and had two critical defensive holding penalties in the fourth quarter – both on third down incompletions – that extended a Sooner drive that would ultimately result in Oklahoma’s first touchdown of the game. Missed tackles in the backfield also plagued the Vols in the fourth quarter, and linebackers were guilty of a handful.
