10. LB Colton Jumper
It was a relatively quiet debut for the surprise walk-on starter at middle linebacker against Bowling Green. He recorded one solo stop, and while it wasn’t necessarily a poor game, he didn’t seem to make his presence felt. It appears that the Falcons went through his gap on the important fourth-down conversion inside their own 20 that allowed to to go down the field and score to make it a game early. OU’s running game wasn’t overly impressive against Akron, but the potential is there with three talented backs, especially Samaje Perine, lurking in the backfield. If the Vols stick with Jumper for much of the game, he’ll need to show why he won the job over the summer.
