2. DE Derek Barnett
This could be Barnett, Maggitt, or really any defensive lineman at this spot. But I’m choosing Barnett because he’s somewhat of the poster boy for a unit that is supposed to dominate this year. That didn’t happen on a consistent basis last week against Bowling Green, leaving the secondary exposed perhaps a bit more than it should’ve been. OU might carve the Vols up if Baker Mayfield has time. Cam Sutton can take out one option in the passing game. I just don’t see the rest of the Vols’ secondary being able to stick with options 2-4 consistently, however. That means the defensive line must be disruptive. And against an Oklahoma offensive line that lacks experience, especially at tackle, there should be an opportunity to do that. Barnett and Co. must step up and take advantage of that to give UT its best shot at winning.
