Pick 6: SEC Against the Spread — Week 2

[tps_header][/tps_header]

Cam Sutton-1

Fresno State at No. 17 Ole Miss (-29.5), Saturday, 3:30 pm ET, ESPN 2

Kevin: Ole Miss is 6-2 in it’s last 8 games against the spread at home, and Fresno St. is 17-8 against the spread in its last 25 road games (1-5 in its last 6, to be fair). The Bulldogs could potentially score enough to make this a frustrating game to bet on Ole Miss, especially if Hugh Freeze tries to give his reserves a lot of reps as a tune up before the conference schedule. On the flip side, Ole Miss is apparently in statement mode and if they bring the same level of aggression that they did against poor UT Martin, the cover should be a no brainer. I’ll roll the dice on Ole Miss -29.5, both for margin of victory and the number of confederate flags waving in the stands at kickoff.

John: Back in the day, I dated this southern belle who was an Ole Miss grad. When I picked her up for our first date, I was overcome by the smell of cookies. So I was like Wow. Cookies. and she goes My mom once said that if you like a boy, make sure your house smells like cookies when he picks you up for the first time.

So you’re a feminist?

She just looked at me with a confused but serene, doe-eyed gaze as if the lithium drip had finally started to take. This young lady was, without exception, the most vapid human being I had ever met, but we wound up dating for nearly six months anyway because she was strikingly hot. So I’m picking Fresno State because I’m still mad at Ole Miss for exposing me as the shallow simpleton I am. Plus, I’m tired of agreeing with Kevin.
