10. Jalen Hurd is considered an elite SEC RB by the end of the season

Jalen Hurd-1-2

Daniel Lewis: Right now most view Hurd a step below the Nick Chubb/Leonard Fournette/Derrick Henry group, and I don’t think that will be the case by the end of the year. The Vols have rested Hurd and kind of stayed quiet about him in the preseason. I think when the lights come on against big opponents, they’ll unleash him and, if he stays healthy and can get decent blocking, he can can be among the best of the best in the SEC this year. Yes, Kamara will have a good year and take some touches from him, but I don’t think that diminishes what kind of impact Hurd can have in 2015. I’m not necessarily saying he’ll have the same numbers as players like Chubb and Fournette, but I think among scouts and analysts who really know the game and study the film, Hurd will be considered in that top group.
