 September 19th vs. Western Carolina

Daniel: Western Carolina has improved as a program the past couple years, but UT pretty much names the score in this one. This will be a nice opportunity to either either regroup from the Oklahoma game or keep the momentum going on the way to Gainesville to face Florida. Being between two emotional games like that could be an opportunity for a trap-game situation, but the Catamounts simply don’t have the talent to make it interesting, regardless of UT’s mental state. Winner: Tennessee

Houston: A nice tune-up game to rest some players after a physical battle against OU and before a big road trip to The Swamp. This is another chance to get some young players meaningful reps and get them prepared to make an impact during conference play. Expect to see a lot of freshmen and a lot of points on the board.  Winner: Vols

Reed: No matter the outcome of the prior week’s matchup with Oklahoma, this is a well placed game on the schedule. It will allow the Vols to get healthy, rest starters, get some valuable reps to some young players and start scheming for a massive road trip to the Swamp. Vols name their score in a boring, but needed, matchup. Winner: Volunteers
