2. Jalen Reeves-Maybin
This guy, to me at least, is the epitome of the Volunteer spirit. A four star with plenty of talent coming out of high school, Maybin was more than content with having to prove his worth on special teams his freshman year. Every time you looked up, he seemed to be making a play. None bigger than the blocked punt against Georgia that Devaun Swafford scooped up and took to the house. Which is why it was no surprise he stepped up last as big as he did last year. The biggest question mark with Team 119 is at the linebacker position, specifically, who will replace A.J. Johnson at inside linebacker. And while we may not know that, we do know that whoever it winds up being can take solace in knowing he’s gonna have JRM laying down the law on the outside. He’s going to have a breakout season and will be exciting to watch.
