This is a big one, no doubt, for overall momentum, national perception and confidence. That’s why I put it above a couple SEC games. But going back to the premise that UT’s top goal this year should be to compete for the SEC East, the Vols can fall to the Sooners and not lose any ground in that area. Perhaps momentum and confidence would be shaken if the Vols can’t avenge their 34-10 loss in Norman last year against this OU team that stumbled down the stretch in 2014. But if they were to lose, they’d have a great chance to regroup the next week against Western Carolina and get up for a huge trip to The Swamp the following week.
