Occasionally recruits show off some of the material they get from the Vols on Twitter, and it always displays the creativity of UT’s visual marketing team.
2016 quarterback commitment Jarrett Guarantano did just that on Thursday night, tweeting a couple pictures of some recruiting material UT sent him, including one that says “Choose Your Weapon.”
That graphic shows some of UT’s top skill players – Alvin Kamara, Jalen Hurd, Ethan Wolf, Josh Malone, Marquez North, Von Pearson and Preston Williams – along with their star rating coming out of high school and what their position ranking was in recruiting. All, except Pearson, who is a senior, will likely be on the roster when Guarantano arrives in 2016. Williams is currently awaiting eligibility clearance from the NCAA after his ACT score was flagged and he was forced to re-take it.
Regardless, it’s a very creative and cool graphic that shows why quarterbacks would want to come play for the Vols in the near future. Tennessee also leads the 247Sports Crystal Ball for top 2017 quarterback Hunter Johnson and top 2018 quarterback Trevor Lawrence, so maybe the “choose your weapon” concept has a lot of the top up-and-coming quarterbacks interested.
