8. RB Jonathan Williams, Arkansas
The Vols will see a ton of talented running backs this season, but perhaps no other opponent will have more on a single roster than Arkansas, which could easily have two 1,000-yard rushers again in 2015 in Williams and Alex Collins, and even a third dark horse to put up some big numbers in combo back Kody Walker. I could’ve easily gone with Alex Collins here as well, and I like both of them, but I chose Williams because I believe he’ll be the Day 1 starter, and he put up slightly bigger numbers than Collins last year. Add these guys to the Arkansas offensive line, and UT’s defensive front will have one of its biggest challenges of the year.
*Update 8/16: Arkansas announced that Williams will miss “an extended period of time” after undergoing foot surgery. The Razorbacks didn’t put a time table on his return, though it would seem that he’s now doubtful for the Oct. 3 game against the Vols.
