1. RB Nick Chubb, Georgia
Capping off the list is yet another potentially elite running back, and arguably UT’s biggest obstacle if the Vols are to contend in the SEC East in 2015. It was Todd Gurley who powered UGA to a win over Tennessee in 2014, but after a suspension and then injury ended his Georgia career, Chubb seamlessly took over and showed that Georgia may not miss a beat with Gurley now in the NFL. Chubb only had 32 yards against UT last year in Athens as the backup at that time. But he hit his stride when he took over the top spot, averaging 165.4 yards per game rushing over the last eight contests of the season. Georgia has questions at quarterback, so expect whoever wins the job to turn around and hand the ball to Chubb as much as possible in 2015. Tennessee’s road to Atlanta may be defined by if the Vols, and Georgia’s other SEC opponents, can stop what they know will be coming.
