1. Moving Jauan Jennings to WR was the right move
Jennings, the four-star athlete from Murfreesboro, Tenn., always looked a bit unnatural at quarterback in the spring. He could run, but the mechanics just weren’t there. This fall it’s been a different story at wide receiver. He looks the part. And though there have a been a few learning-curve type moments for him, it’s clear that he has the potential to be a starting receiver in the SEC. We’ve seen it in how he’s picked up on routes and shown good hands for the most part. And we saw it in the “Circle of Life” drill where he knocked cornerback Justin Martin back with ease – showing that he can be a good perimeter run blocker as well. He’s big, athletic and though Butch Jones says he could still split reps between WR and QB this fall, it looks like the right move to use him at WR.
