Others to watch…
• Backup quarterback: It looks like freshmen Quinten Dormady and Sheriron Jones will be the top candidates with the news that Jauan Jennings will be splitting reps between receiver and quarterback.
• Secondary: Can Emmanuel Moseley lock down the No. 2 CB job, or will a newcomer push him? Will anybody challenge Rashaan Gaulden at nickel? Can Evan Berry and/or Todd Kelly Jr. push the returning starters at safety?
• Third running back: Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara are the obvious favorites to be No. 1 and No. 2. Who is the next man in if one or both go down? Transfer Ralph David Abernathy IV and freshmen John Kelly and Joseph Young are some names to know there, but there’s not a definite answer right now.
